My
Story

Get to Know Me

I am a regular Millennial with a job, bills and responsibilities. Feeling that my decision has been determined by the ever changing society. However, at some point I realized I was lost. Traveling used to be my passion, my way to connect with myself, but because of how life is hitting all of the struggling millennials out there, I stopped. I left my dreams and passions on a shelf to be able to keep up with life. This blog is an attempt to get back, and be faithful to who I am, and what I love.

Where did my passion go? Is it the new Midlife Crisis?

In the modern landscape of fast-paced careers, ever-evolving technology, and societal expectations, it's not uncommon for millennials to find themselves at a crossroads, wondering where their once vibrant passions have gone. The pursuit of success, financial stability, and the allure of the "money game" can sometimes overshadow the very things that once ignited our souls.

During our youth, we're often encouraged to chase our dreams and follow our passions. However, as the responsibilities of adulthood set in, the pursuit of practicality takes precedence. The passions that once seemed all-consuming can slowly fade into the background, drowned out by the cacophony of bills, deadlines, and societal pressures.

The quest for financial security and societal validation can lead us down a path where our passion takes a back seat. We become entangled in the "money game," seeking high-paying jobs and material possessions. While these pursuits are not inherently wrong, they can inadvertently lead us away from the very things that once made our hearts race.

Traditionally, a midlife crisis was associated with a moment of reckoning later in life. However, millennials are experiencing a new version of this crisis earlier on. We find ourselves asking existential questions about our purpose and fulfillment, much like those who faced a midlife crisis before us. The realization that we may have strayed from our passions can be both unsettling and liberating.

The journey to reignite lost passions is not an easy one, but it is a worthwhile endeavor. It involves introspection, carving out time for self-discovery, and revisiting activities that once brought us joy. It means learning to strike a balance between the practicalities of life and the pursuits that set our souls on fire.

Standing at the millennial crossroads offers a unique opportunity for growth and self-discovery. It's a chance to redefine success on our terms, to cultivate a life that is both financially stable and emotionally fulfilling. It's about realizing that passions need not be abandoned; they can be woven into the fabric of our lives, creating a tapestry of purpose and meaning.

The new midlife crisis that millennials face is a call to reevaluate our priorities, align them with our passions, and carve a path that resonates with our true selves. By recognizing the value of our passions and integrating them into our journey, we can navigate the complexities of the modern world while staying true to the vibrant spirit that defines us.
